Man drowns off Sharjah beach
Police say the victim and a friend were swimming in an unauthorised area

Sharjah: A 38-year-old Pakistani man drowned off Al Khan beach while swimming with a friend on Sunday.
The duo were rushed to the Al Kuwaiti Hospital where police said the Pakistani, S.A.K.W., was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The man's 36-year-old compatriot, M.S.R.K., is currently receiving treatment at the hospital and is reportedly in critical condition.
Police said the two friends were swimming in an unauthorised area off Al Khan beach despite a sign board warning against swimming in the area.
