Man drowns in Sharjah

Dubai: A 36-year-old Indian man drowned while he was swimming  in the Al Mamzar area of Sharjah, police confirmed.

Sharjah Police’s operations room received a call at 12:40pm on Friday afternoon about an Asian man drowning in Sharjah’s Al Mamzar area.

Police, an ambulance, rescue team and patrols attended the scene but when they arrived, the man had already died.

The victim has been identified as G.K.K.

Sharjah Police have appealed to the public to exercise caution when swimming and to avoid dangerous areas.
