Abu Dhabi: If you want a room with a view, it cannot get better than Al Bandar - Al Dar’s flagship residential and marina development beyond the shores of Al Raha Beach in Abu Dhabi.
Sounds of soft waves lapping on the shore, cool sea breezes wafting into your bedroom and sights of catamarans lazing in the azure blue waters just outside your house – this is one of the most luxurious and coveted living destinations in the emirate.
Complete with plush residential towers, a 131-berth marina, exclusive clubhouse with leisure and entertainment facilities, a promenade with cafes and restaurants and a retail space, Al Bandar can vie with some of the world’s best waterfront developments.
“As you can see, there is nothing like living in Al Bandar. It is quiet, peaceful and opulent,” a long time British resident who does not wish to be named, told XPRESS.
An airline professional, he bought a three-bedroom apartment in Al Naseem – one of the three residential units comprising Al Bandar – five years ago when the development opened.
“We were one of the first families to move in. There was nothing here except the buildings. But in the last five years, I have seen the place dramatically transform into one of the most sought after properties ” said the resident.
Breathtaking views
Views to die for are what woo many residents to Al Bandar. For instance, the three cascading towers called Al Naseem A, B and C with their large wrap-around glass balconies offers breathtaking views that are unique in the emirates. A total of 366 apartments ranging from one-bedroom to four-bedroom split-level duplexes make Al Naseem.
“It feels like your apartment is right in the water. The views are stunning and I would not want to live anywhere else,” said an American housewife who gave her first name as Lucy.
Her husband who runs a business consultancy in Abu Dhabi owns a vessel that is moored right outside their apartment.
“We go fishing during the weekends. The marina here has fantastic waterways that give us access to many beautiful islands,” said Susy.
The other two towers – Al Barza and Al Manara – are also beach-facing properties with panoramic views. Al Barza consists of 132 apartments overlooking the piazza and marina. The glass cubed Al Manara tower has only four-bedrooms and penthouses.
A one bedroom in Al Bandar is available for an annual rent of around Dh130,000.
A two bedroom costs approximately Dh165,000 and a three bedroom Dh240,000. A whopping Dh500,000 and above is the annual rent for four and five bedroom penthouses.
The promenade and retail space at the centre of the three residential towers have a range of amenities that make Al Bandar a well-integrated community.
