Osteoporosis screenings

Dubai: Emirates Osteoporosis Society has launched a campaign called “Capture the Fracture” to prevent bone fractures as a result osteoporosis, a debilitating bone disease.

Screenings in Rashid Hospital, Latifa Hospital and areas with high public footfall took place recently across Dubai, and the second phase will be implemented during the second week of November 2012. The screenings included Bone mineral density (BMD) testing.
