Ministry of Health bags Gulf Excellence Award

Dubai: The Ministry of Health received the third Gulf Excellence Award for health media category in Muscat last week.

Dr Mahmoud Fikri, Assistant Undersecretary for health policies at the Ministry of Health, represented the UAE delegation in the award ceremony organised by the GCC Ministers of Health Council. The UAE won the first place in short story the dangers of tobacco use and received third place for a broadcast TV message about “healthy meals”.

The Gulf Excellence Award included 30 various works that encourage mass media to be proactive in discussing health issues through targeted health messages.
