The three-day course, organised in cooperation with the Emirates Society of Emergency Medicines, will start on Thursday at Rotana Al Ain Hotel. The course is designed for physicians, nurses, allied health workers and students and will provide the latest information, training and best practices in the areas of emergency cardiology and critical care, said an official of Tawam Hospital.
The speakers, including award-winning professors, will cover a range of topics such as coronary disease in the elderly, cardiac arrest and post-arrest care, modern management of cardiogenic pulmonary oedema, deadly allergies and anaphylaxis, fluid resuscitation and sepsis. Workshops on the course will deliver practical advice and training to complement the theoretical sessions, simulating possible cardiology scenarios in the emergency department, he said.
