Sharjah: Sharjah Health Authority and Al Zahra Hospital in the emirate have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide Sharjah residents with top quality medical care at discounted rates.

The MOU agreement provides 30 per cent discounts on various health-related treatments and services, as well as fast track appointments, to UAE nationals and government employees, below 65 years of age, while senior UAE residents and Emiratis over 65 years are both eligible for the 30 per cent discount. All discounts are applicable to cash services, only.

Abdulla Ali Al Mahyan, Chairman Sharjah Health Authority, Sharjah Healthcare City and Member of Executive Council said: “We are pleased to associate with Al Zahra Sharjah to offer more affordable high quality health care services to the people of Sharjah, with additional benefits, especially to the elderly and Emiratis.”

This partnership, he added, aligns with SHA’s strategy of promoting private-public-partnerships in order to improve the health benefits to citizens and residents.

CEO and Executive Director of NMC Health, Prashanth Manghat said: “The SHA has long been recognised as a model for health care organisations around the GCC, with a relentless focus on patient-centered care. They are transforming health care by developing pioneering strategies to deliver better health and high quality care to their communities, as efficiently as possible, and we are proud to partner with them to support their mission and their unwavering commitment to excellence.

“The NMC Health believes that quality health care is a fundamental right of every citizen and with this partnership we would like to ensure that Sharjah residents receive the best and most advanced medical services and facilities available,” Manghat added.
