Corporate fund finances Dh560m for equipment
Dubai: Four dialysis units have been approved for Dibba Al Fujairah Hospital.
The announcement was made by Dr Hanif Hassan, UAE Minister of Health, who attended the second meeting of the corporate fund of the Ministry of Health (MOH) after its reformation based on the ministerial decision No. (128) of 2011.
Last week, an FNC member, Dr Sultan Al Moadhen, had revealed on Ajman Radio that Dibba Al Fujairah Hospital was suffering from lack of equipment and medicines to treat chronic diseases, especially those used for treatment of diabetes and blood pressure.
Khalid Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Chairman, Board of Directors of the fund, said during the meeting that the corporate fund aims to fulfil the needs of the ministry's hospitals all over the UAE.
The corporate fund currently seeks to increase its relationship with societal partnerships in order to face challenges in the health care sector and cooperation with the public and private authorities in the country.
He also explained that the fund cooperates with strategic partners to fulfil the numbers of equipment for regular, emergency or critical cases pointing out that the fund provided four dialysis equipment and remote equipment with a total cost of Dh560 million to satisfy the needs of the dialysis centre in Dibba Al Fujairah Hospital as a initial step to study the needs of other hospitals' departments according to the strategy of the corporate fund.
Al Falasi also added that the fund takes the responsibility towards communicating with the members of the society and review the needs of hospitals and health care centres immediately and directly.
