Handball team lose temper and match
The UAE handball team lost all hopes of reaching the semifinals following a defeat at the hands of Qatar 30-22 yesterday. The UAE were playing in a group B match at the Changwon gymnasium yesterday.
The match went out of control in the 23rd minute of the second session when players from both teams resorted to a free for all for one minute.

The UAE's Ahmed Hasan was sent off for starting the fight when he hit one Qatari player. Despite the frayed tempers the UAE players still congratulated their Qatari counterparts at the end of the match.
Qatar led in the first session (15-13), advancing through swift moves by Ahmed Aman and Saleh Burhan. The UAE players made several mistakes in attack when they lost the ball and the Qatari's quick counterattacks enabled them to score more goals in the second session.
The scorers for Qatar were, Ahmed Saad 8, Saleh Burhan 7, Abdullah Saad 4, Bilal Al Ali 4, Mohammed Saad 4, Mohammed Eid, Khalid Abdullah, Yousuf Hussain and Naser Saad each of them scored one goal.
