Abu Dhabi: The UAE has welcomed the summit held in Alaska between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, expressing appreciation for President Trump’s efforts to promote dialogue and pursue peaceful solutions. 

The UAE described the meeting as a significant step toward strengthening international peace and security and fostering greater trust across the European continent.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hailed the summit as historic, emphasizing that constructive dialogue is the most effective path to narrowing differences and resolving conflicts.

The ministry added that the joint efforts by the two leaders to end the crisis in Ukraine offer a source of hope for advancing peace and stability worldwide.
