UAE warns citizens in Houston to exercise caution amid severe weather in the US

Dubai: The UAE mission in Houston called on UAE citizens in US to exercise caution due to the heavy rains and floods expected in the country.

The mission stressed the importance of adhering to safety guidelines issued by local authorities, staying updated on the situation, and contacting emergency numbers 0097180024 or 0097180044444 if needed.

UAE citizens are also encouraged to register for the Twajudi service.

The Houston metro area has faced severe weather, with numerous tornadoes reported and warnings issued for various counties. The National Weather Service (NWS) has highlighted the risk of flash flooding, which could create hazardous driving conditions.

Additionally, the forecast now includes potentially dangerous marine conditions that may disrupt maritime activities.

Residents are advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
