UAE President receives British Prime Minister

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday received British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting UAE in the final leg of the Gulf tour that included Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, was also present at the meeting.

During the audience, they reviewed the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, and conferred on ways of bolstering them. They also discussed the current regional and international developments and issues of common concern.

The discussions also touched upon the present global economic situation and the ways to overcome its effects.
