Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday held talks with Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.
They discussed brotherly ties between both countries and a number of regional and global issues of common interest. After the talks, Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Hamad attended the signing of an agreement to set up a joint investment fund between the UAE and Qatar.
Shaikh Hamad held a banquet in honour of Shaikh Khalifa and his accompanying delegation.
On arrival, Shaikh Khalifa was received by the Emir of Qatar, and a number of shaikhs and top officials.
He was earlier seen off at Abu Dhabi airport by General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, and other shaikhs and top officials.
Later, Shaikh Khalifa returned home and was received at Abu Dhabi airport by Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed and a number of top officials.
