The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has issued an administrative closure order against Taj Al Zumurda Restaurant in Al Waha Al Amerah, Al Ain, holding trade license number (CN-1116967), for violating Law No. (2) of 2008 on Food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and related regulations, as well as posing a risk to public health.

ADAFSA explained that the food control report indicated the administrative closure was imposed due to repeated food safety violations and the failure to implement effective corrective measures, necessitating immediate action to safeguard food safety and consumer health.

The Authority confirmed that the closure order will remain in effect until the causes of the violations are addressed, and the establishment may resume operations only after rectifying its conditions in full compliance with all food safety requirements.

ADAFSA further noted that administrative closures and violation detections are part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s food safety system, ensuring that all food establishments undergo regular inspections to verify compliance, with a particular focus on proactive consumer protection and adherence to food safety standards.

The Authority urged the public to contact it and report any violations observed in food establishments or suspected issues with food products by calling the Abu Dhabi Government toll-free number 800555, enabling its inspectors to take the necessary action to ensure safe and healthy food for all members of the community in Abu Dhabi.
