Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, stressed that the strengthening of economic and political relations with all countries of the world is a major part of the UAE's development plan.

He also said that these relations are developing day by day because of the UAE's established principles on foreign relations laid down by its founders.

Double taxation

Shaikh Mohammad made these statements while chairing a Cabinet meeting yesterday at the Presidential Palace. The Cabinet ratified a number of economic and political agreements, and approved a number of agreements to encourage investment and avoidance of double taxation between the UAE and some countries.

Shaikh Mohammad yesterday also received the new ambassadors of Sweden, Morocco, and Australia to the UAE.

Shaikh Mohammad greeted Swedish Ambassador Dr Max Bjuhr, Morrocan Ambassador Mohammad Ait Ouali, and Australian Ambassador Pablo Kang, in the presence of Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister.

He stressed the UAE's keenness to extend bridges of cooperation with all friendly people and countries across the world.

Shaikh Mohammad exchanged takes with the new envoys and underlined the importance of their role in developing the relations between their respective countries and the UAE.
