Sharjah (WAM) His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued a decree regarding the emblem of the Government of Sharjah.
The emblem features a circle containing a nine-frond palm tree in the middle with two date clusters. The backdrop portraits two UAE flags and strip under the tree carries the name of Sharjah in Arabic and English.

The emblem will only be used for government records, documents and activities.
In its fourth article, the decree prohibits the use of the emblem by non-government entities for commercial and industrial or personal purposes.
Private institutions can obtain an exemption to use the logo from the government.
Without prejudice to any other penalties stipulated by a local or federal law, offenders will face a jail term of not more than one year and the possibility of a fine of not more than Dh100,000.
Documents carrying the emblem in contrary to the provisions of the decree will be confiscated.
