President pardons 977 prisoners

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan ordered the release of 977 prisoners on the occasion of Ramadan.

Shaikh Khalifa will also settle the fines imposed on the prisoners by court rulings issued against them.

The pardon is in line with the keenness of Shaikh Khalifa to give the prisoners the chance to start a new life and alleviate the burden on their families.
