No midday break violators in Dubai

The Permanent Committee of Labourers Affairs inspected as many as 9,662 firms in Dubai

Dubai: The Permanent Committee of Labourers Affairs (PCLA) has recorded a 100 per cent compliance level for the midday break decision in Dubai since its implementation on July 30.

Major General Obaid Muhair Bin Surour, Deputy Director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs Dubai and Chairman of the PCLA, said the PCLA is conducting daily field visits to different companies to report compliance levels across Dubai

“We inspected a total of 9,662 firms and found them abiding by the law,” he said, “We found no violators among companies. Only one man who works as a porter in Naif souq was found working during the midday break and we asked him to give himself a break from 12.30pm till 3pm.”
