Mohammad receives well-wishers

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received on Sunday members of the Al Maktoum family, who called on the Ruler to congratulate the newly-appointed Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Dubai respectively.

Shaikh Mohammad held a banquet to mark the occasion, which was attended by Shaikhs, ministers, and senior officials.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler, yesterday received Shaikhs, ministers, dignitaries, senior officials and members of the diplomatic corps who came to greet them on their new posts.

Poetic evening

They also received tribal poets who read poems before Shaikh Hamdan and praised his Arab qualities and chivalry, congratulating him on the great trust bestowed upon him.

Shaikh Hamdan and Shaikh Maktoum also received greetings from Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, and Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.

The Dubai International Holy Quran Award's Board of Directors congratulated Shaikh Hamdan and Shaikh Maktoum on their new appointments.
