Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Tuesday called Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the repercussions of the floods in Kerala, and efforts being exerted to provide assistance to the state’s people.

Shaikh Mohammad expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Indian Prime Minister and people of India for victims of the floods, which resulted in the death of hundreds of people and displaced thousands.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince reaffirmed the UAE’s stand by India during this ordeal, particularly in light of the friendly and historic relations between the two nations and their peoples.

Modi expressed his thanks and gratitude to Shaikh Mohammad for the UAE government and peoples’ noble stance and their humanitarian response for those affected by the floods in Kerala.

He said that the UAE’s stand embodies the authentic and special relations between the governments and peoples of UAE and India.
