Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, congratulated Moon Jae-in, President of South Korea, on his victory in the presidential election.
During a telephone call, Shaikh Mohammad wished Moon Jae-in success in his new responsibilities, and stressed the strength of relations between the UAE and South Korea. Shaikh Mohammad said that he is looking forward to further developing these relations in all fields.
The phone call also touched on avenues of strategic cooperation between the two nations, particularly in peaceful nuclear energy projects, and other partnerships in areas of economy, investment and education.
Shaikh Mohammad expressed his best wishes for more progress and prosperity for the people of South Korea.
Moon Jae-in thanked Shaikh Mohammad for the phone call, and for his genuine sentiments towards South Korea and its people. Moon Jae-in emphasised his keenness for strong bilateral cooperation during the coming phase in order to consolidate friendly relations and achieve the interests of both countries and their peoples.
