Hamdan holds talks with Omani leader

Muscat: Sultan Qaboos Bin Saeed of Oman yesterday received Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, who is on a visit to Oman to participate in the joint UAE-Oman Higher Committee meeting.

They discussed bilateral relations and avenues of cooperation between the UAE and Oman in various spheres for the best interest of their nations and people.

Shaikh Hamdan conveyed greetings from President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to Sultan Qaboos.

Sultan Qaboos asked Shaikh Hamdan to convey his greetings to Shaikh Khalifa and the UAE's leadership and people.

Earlier, Shaikh Hamdan arrived in Muscat and was received by Minister of Diwan of the Royal Court, Ali Bin Hammoud Bin Ali Al Busaidi, a number of ministers, UAE Ambassador to Oman, Mohammad Ali Al Asimi and Omani Ambassador to the UAE, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Abdullah Bin Ali Al Qutbi.

He is heading a UAE delegation to the joint UAE-Oman committee.
