Sharjah: Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has launched a Dh2.6 million humanitarian campaign for families in Gaza focused on two critical needs: clean water and hot meals.

As part of the UAE’s wider Gallant Knight 3 initiative, under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the campaign invites donors across the UAE to contribute toward sustainable and life-saving solutions for families devastated by ongoing conflict.

With Dh1.2 million allocated to drilling 12 new water wells, the project aims to provide clean water to over 312,000 Gaza residents. An additional Dh1.4 million will fund 12 charitable kitchens and 20 ovens, delivering hot meals daily to more than 45,000 people, including children, the elderly, and the sick.

“Water and food are not luxuries—they are basic human rights,” said Mohammed Rashid bin Bayat, Vice Chairman of SCI’s Board of Directors. “Through this initiative, we’re addressing both immediate and long-term needs with sustainable solutions.”

Lasting impact

Bin Bayat said that SCI’s approach goes beyond temporary said. “We are not just handing out water, we are building infrastructure that will support communities for years.”

The water well project is expected to significantly improve public health and environmental conditions, while the meal program will help families maintain nutritional stability with dignity.

Simple, transparent giving

SCI has simplified the donation process through multiple channels, including website smart links, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, SMS, bank transfers, and cash drop-offs at mosques and malls across the UAE. The organization also assures full transparency, with strict monitoring to ensure all funds reach those most in need.

“This is about more than charity—it’s about standing together as a community,” Bin Bayat said. “Every dirham donated is a message of solidarity and humanity.”

The campaign reflects the UAE’s enduring commitment to humanitarian aid, regional support, and global compassion.
