Emirates Appreciation Awards winners honoured

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday honoured the winners of the Emirates Appreciation Awards for Science, Arts and Literature.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was present during the ceremony.

Innovation

Shaikh Khalifa presented the awards to the winners and congratulated them on their accomplishments, excellence and innovation in their respective fields.

"This elite of outstanding Emiratis signifies a bright light in the march of our nation's progress rich in its talented and highly qualified cadres," the President said. "The UAE will care with appreciation and great attention its outstanding and talented citizens and provide them with all necessary capabilities to hone their skills," Shaikh Khalifa said.

The winners expressed their gratitude to Shaikh Khalifa for his profound support to scientists, distinguished artists and intellectuals.

The winners of the Emirates Appreciation Awards for Science, Arts and Literature: Ahmad Mohammad Al Midfa in sports; Ali Mohammed Bu Jsaim in sports; Adnan Al Talyani in sports; Dr Eisa Mohammad Bastaki in science; Ebrahim Mohammad Bin Omair in arts and poetry; Dr Masoud Abdullah Badri in scientific research; Dr Mohammad Yousuf Ali in plastic arts and Abdullah Al Manee' in arts performance.
