Transcribed copies of the Quran handed over to government ministry for checking
Dubai: Thirty calligraphers from 12 countries were awarded by the Ramadan Forum for Arab Calligraphy, after they completed the transcription of a whole copy of the Quran.
The transcribed copies were handed over by the calligraphers to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development to be checked for any errors.
The calligraphers were awarded at a ceremony held at the Dubai Grand Hyatt Hotel by Mohammad Ahmad Al Murr, Federal National Council Speaker, Humaid Mohammad Al Qutami, Minister of Education, and Abdul Rahman Mohammad Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development.
