Fire breaks out in Sharjah scrap yard

Sharjah: A fire raged through a scrap yard in Industrial Area 6 in Sharjah on Monday.

A Sharjah Civil Defence official said a report was received to the operating room at 12:28pm of a fire in a scrap yard at Industrial Area 6.  Sharjah Police sealed off roads leading to the site and only emergency vehicles were being allowed to enter.

Later it was announced that firefighters from Samnan, Muweilah and Mina station controlled the fire. No injuries were reported.
