Hot and hazy days ahead along with dusty winds

Abu Dhabi/Dubai: The weather will be foggy and hazy over some areas of Abu Dhabi in the morning and will gradually turn hot and hazy as the day progresses.

According to the forecaster at the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology, there will be some powdery clouds over the Eastern mountainous areas by afternoon and evening.

Later in the evening on Saturday most of the areas will experience moderate North-Westerly winds. These winds can develop dusty and sandy conditions over open land areas.

Misty mornings

There will be a rise in the relative humidity at night and early morning that will result in fog and mist over some of the coastal and interior areas.

A forecaster at Dubai Met Office predicted similar weather conditions as the emirate will experience hazy and humid conditions during the day with a risk of mist early in the morning.

Visibility will be good at 1,500m. The maximum temperature during the day will be 39 degrees Celsius, while at night it will be 30 degrees Celsius.

Rise in humidity

Humidity levels are already climbing up. The humidity not only fogs up glasses and car windows, but has brought the comfort index. Temperatures are expected to rise further during the course of the month and reach 49 degrees Celsius.

With temperatures soaring above the bearable limits many residents have opted to head for the beaches and swimming pools.
