Committee to supervise UAE environment strategy

Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi, has issued a resolution setting up a higher committee to supervise the National Environmental Health Strategy.

The committee will be chaired by Majid Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of the Environment Agency.

Under the resolution, the committee will oversee the implementation of the environmental health strategy in coordination with the various authorities concerned.

The committee will serve for a renewable term of three years, and hold regular meetings every three months.

Earlier, the Abu Dhabi Executive Council approved the project and its budget to enhance health and improve the environmental, social and economic aspects that affect health.
