Video: Huge fire that gutted Ajman, UAE, shopping centre contained
No casualties reported; cause of the fire is under investigation
Ajman, UAE: Firefighters managed to put out a huge fire that broke out in a shopping centre in Ajman in the early hours of Tuesday, August 22, preventing the flames from spreading further.
The fire broke out around 2 am and completely gutted the building of City Felash Center, said authorities.
Firefighters from Ajman and other neighbouring emirates fought the fight and were successful in supressing it to ensure no further spread to adjacent premises.
Firefighting teams from the Ajman, Sharjah, Dubai and Umm Al Quwain were in fighting the blaze.
"We immediately took the necessary measures to prevent the fire from spreading,” authorities said.
There were no reports of casualties. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
