Sharjah: His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, ordered the Initiatives Implementation Authority “Mubadara” to immediately provide alternative accommodation for the Sharia Market shops in Al Dhaid that were gutted in a fire early this morning.

He directed that the order be implemented promptly, so that the necessary equipment, furnishing and air- conditioning are in place within three days.

A permanent market, which will contain more than 60 commercial shops built of concrete and cement, will replace the old market which housed 16 temporary shops. The Ruler of Sharjah also ordered that the affected store owners be compensated with new stores in the new market, in addition to a generous sum of money to cover the damages.
