Dubai's Nakheel Mall transforms into Smurfs Wonderland for summer fun

Dubai: Dubai's Nakheel Mall is turning blue this summer with a Smurfs-themed pop-up experience. The family-friendly event, running from August 15 to 31, will transform the mall into a Smurfy wonderland filled with interactive zones, live shows, and character meet-and-greets.

Created in partnership with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), the two-week activation is timed perfectly for a back-to-school celebration and builds excitement for the upcoming Smurfs movie featuring Rihanna as Smurfette. The experience promises a blend of nostalgia and entertainment for all ages.

What to expect

The on-ground event will feature a storybook-style village with several themed zones. Visitors can explore an enchanted forest, find Papa Smurf's house, and enjoy games with beloved characters like Smurfette, Hefty, Brainy, and Farmer Smurf. Activities include an AR magic mirror that turns guests into Smurfs, a mirror maze, puzzle-solving, and various craft stations.

Families can also enjoy daily Smurf stage shows with Papa Smurf and Smurfette, followed by meet-and-greets and photo opportunities.

Event schedule

Smurf Stage Shows: 3:00 pm, 5:30 pm, and 7:30 pm daily.
Meet-and-Greets: 3:20 pm, 5:50 pm, and 7:50 pm daily.
Interactive Activity Zones: Open from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm daily on the lower ground floor.
