Man slits his own throat at Sharjah workplace
Indian in police custody after suicide attempt in Muweilah area of Sharjah
Sharjah: A 39-year-old Indian man used a knife to slit his throat in a suicide attempt at his workplace in Muweilah area in Sharjah on Wednesday morning.
Police received a call on Wednesday morning from workers reporting the incident. Police and rescue teams found him bleeding from the neck when they reached the spot. They gave him first aid before rushing him to Al Qasimi Hospital.
The man suffered serious injuries but was saved after a surgery.
He was placed under police custody.
Meanwhile, a 24-year-old Pakistani man was admitted to the ICU of Al Kuwaiti Hospital after he fell from a school building under construction in Al Ghubaiba area in Sharjah. He was reported to be in a critical condition.
