Dubai: A man has been accused of working as a male prostitute and having consensual sex with two jobless men, who took his handbag containing cash and a mobile.

The 29-year-old Filipino man, K.E., who, according to records, is a cook, was said to have agreed to have sex with the Emirati men, 21-year-old M.S. and 25-year-old M.E., at a villa in Al Barsha in November.

The Emiratis picked up K.E. and took him to a villa where they had paid sex, according to records, before M.E. punched him and knocked him unconscious before stealing his belongings.

Prosecutors accused K.E. of working in prostitution and charged M.S. and M.E. with having consensual sex with the Filipino.

M.E. was accused of beating the cook and stealing his belongings.

M.S. was charged with possessing K.E.’s stolen mobile.

The two suspects pleaded not guilty and one pleaded guilty before the Dubai Court of First Instance on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old suspect punched the Filipino and stole his Dh3,000 and mobile.

The 21-year-old suspect possessed the stolen phone.

“No … I did not,” K.E. told presiding judge Fahd Al Shamsi in court.

“Yes, I had sex with him. And I possessed the mobile but I did not know that it was stolen,” M.S. contended in court.

Meanwhile M.E. refuted all his accusations contending that he did not have sex with K.E. or steal his belongings.

“Why did you hit him then?” presiding judge Al Shamsi asked M.E.

“I beat him first but it was a mutual assault,” he replied.

A policeman claimed to prosecutors that the Filipino reported to Dubai Police’s operations room that he had been assaulted.

“We headed to the location and I found that K.E.’s cheek was swollen. He claimed that three men attacked him suddenly while he was walking in the street. He alleged that they forced him into their vehicle, took him to a villa where they had sex with him. Thereafter we took the claimant to the police station where we recorded his statement and then sent him to hospital,” the policeman testified to prosecutors.

A police corporal claimed to prosecutors that K.E. later changed his statement and admitted that he knew the suspects and had had paid sex with them.

“During questioning, he claimed that he willingly accompanied the suspects in their car to have sex with them. He claimed that while M.S. left he stayed with M.E. who beat him suddenly and stole his belongings. The Emirati suspects were apprehended later … M.S. confessed that he had consensual sex with K.E. at the beach.” the corporal testified to prosecutors.

The trial continues.
