Dubai: The Burj Khalifa observation deck has been temporarily closed for "maintenance and upgrade".

A spokesperson for Burj Khalifa, said: "Due to unexpected high traffic, the observation deck experience at the Burj Khalifa, At the Top, has been temporarily closed for maintenance and upgrade.

"Technical issues with the power supply are being worked on by the main and sub-contractors and the public will be informed upon completion."

It is not yet known when At the Top, which is located on the 124th floor of the world’s tallest building, will reopen to the public, the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson added: "Guests who hold valid tickets to the experience will be offered the option to re-book or receive an immediate refund.  All ticket holders who wish to re-book shall be given top priority. We maintain and remain committed to the highest quality standards at Burj Khalifa."
