Awqaf section releases book in Malayalam

The Dubai Department of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs yesterday released a book in Malayalam, the first time it has published anything in a language other than Arabic.

The issue was presented by Dr Hamad Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director General of the department, to George Joseph, Indian Consul General in Dubai, at a special reception held in his honour.

Dr Al Shaibani held talks with Joseph on relations between the UAE and India as well as issues of common interest.
