Authorities urged the public to remain vigilant when receiving suspicious messages

Dubai: The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA) has introduced a new service through the “Amer” Contact Centre , enabling residents to report cybersecurity incidents and suspicious online activities.
The move is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen digital safety and protect the community from rising cyber fraud threats.

Authorities urged the public to remain vigilant, particularly when receiving suspicious messages or encountering websites impersonating official entities such as GDRFA Dubai.
Residents are encouraged to use the “Cybersecurity Incident Reporting” option via the Amer Contact Centre (800 5111) to report any suspected fraud immediately.
Residents should report incidents in the following cases:
Accounts misusing the entity’s name
Websites impersonating official entities
Any suspected cybersecurity threat
Fake or misleading digital transactions
Officials stressed that swift reporting plays a key role in preventing cybercrime and safeguarding the wider community, noting that public awareness and cooperation are essential in combating digital risks.
GDRFA reiterated that protecting users’ digital security remains a top priority, calling on residents to stay alert and report any suspicious activity without delay.
