The couple first captured fans’ hearts in 2023 when they announced their relationship
First-round exits at Wimbledon appear to have taken a toll on both Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa—not just professionally, but personally. The tennis couple has reportedly split again.
According to Spanish magazine ¡Hola!, the pair decided to end their relationship just two days after their disappointing performances at the tournament. Adding fuel to the speculation, both athletes have unfollowed each other on social media.
“It was a carefully considered decision between two adults who loved each other,” a source told the magazine. “They were both going through a difficult time professionally, especially with injuries, and that had an impact on their relationship.”
The source noted that the breakup has been emotionally difficult for both. “They’re not in a good place, of course. That’s to be expected after any breakup. They started the year with high hopes, and now that dream has come to an end. It was a healthy separation—no third parties, no outside pressure from family.”
“They tried to make it work, but it ultimately didn’t,” the source added. “Old issues resurfaced, particularly related to the injuries they’ve both been dealing with. In the end, it was a mature and mutual decision made by two people who truly cared for one another.”
This marks the second time the couple has gone their separate ways, having previously split amicably in May of last year.
Tsitsipas and Badosa first captured fans’ hearts in 2023 when they went public with their relationship. Dubbed "Tsitsidosa" by the tennis community, the duo shared glimpses of their romance through affectionate and widely adored social media posts.
