Dubai: Dubai based Alison Muirhead (Scot) has been drawn with world number one in the Rolex World Golf Rankings Nelly Korda (USA) in this week’s ARAMCO Series – New York event on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
At the recent Draft draw for the 28 teams, Captain Korda selected Ursula Wikstrom (Finland) for her number one pick. Muirhead was selected at random with amateur Jeffrey Capazzi completing Team N. Korda.
The Team will play together for all three rounds over the Glen Oaks Club in New York with round two tomorrow (Friday) and the tournament concluding on Saturday, in this best 2 from 4 format.
Team event
Other Team Captains include: Lexi Thompson (USA), Jessica Korda (USA), Charley Hull (Eng), Ann Norquist (Swe) and Aditi Ashok (India).
The prizefund for the Team event is $800,000 alongside the Individual event for the pros with a $200,000 total. The tee times for today’s (Thursday) 1st Round draw are from 7.20 am – 12.42 pm with Team N. Korda teeing off at 8.31 am.
After this week’s tournament there are four remaining events on the 2021 LET calendar, the next one being the Dubai Moonlight Classic Presented by EGA to be held on the Faldo Course at Emirates Golf Club 27th – 29th October, 2021.
