Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav recently sent social media into a frenzy after announcing his engagement to childhood friend Vanshika — only to delete the post shortly after.

The unexpected move left fans buzzing with speculation and curiosity about the mystery woman and the reason behind the sudden deletion.

Glimpse into a private ceremony

The engagement ceremony reportedly took place on June 4, 2025, in a private setting attended by close friends and family. Although Kuldeep opted to keep the occasion low-profile, glimpses of the celebration surfaced online after a relative of Vanshika — believed to be her brother or cousin — shared a heartfelt post on Instagram. The caption read: “The team is growing stronger! Welcome to the squad, jiju.”

Deleted post still goes viral

On June 16, Kuldeep uploaded a couple of pictures with Vanshika on his official Instagram account. The photos, however, were quickly taken down, further fuelling speculation. Despite the deletion, fan pages were quick to preserve and circulate the images, which have since gone viral.

The couple was seen dressed in elegant Christian wedding-style attire. Vanshika wore a stunning white gown with a plunging neckline and flowing train, while Kuldeep sported a classic black suit, holding her hands affectionately.

Who is Vanshika?

According to a report by Times of India, Vanshika hails from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and shares a long-standing friendship with Kuldeep that eventually blossomed into romance. Currently, she resides in Melbourne, Australia, and is professionally associated with the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC).

Engagement ahead of crucial series

Kuldeep’s engagement comes just days before India's highly anticipated Test tour of England, beginning June 20. While the reason for deleting the engagement post remains unclear, it has undeniably intensified fan interest and sparked widespread discussion online.
