Dubai: Pakistan A became the first team to secure a spot in the semifinals of the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 after the Boys in Green, powered by Maaz Sadaqat’s unbeaten 79, defeated India A by eight wickets. They chased down the 137-run target in just 13.2 overs in Doha.

Pursuing a modest total, Pakistan A attacked the Indian bowlers from the outset and quickly took control of the match. India A managed to pick up a couple of wickets, but with so few runs to defend, the damage had already been done. Earlier, India A had collapsed in the middle order and were bowled out for only 136.

Sent in to bat first, India A started strongly with Vaibhav Suryavanshi (45) and Nama Dhir (35) providing a solid platform. However, the team then crumbled, losing seven wickets for just 43 runs, allowing Pakistan A to storm back into the contest.
