Abu Dhabi: Motorists can avail 25 per cent discount on their traffic, parking violations fines in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Police announced.
The Traffic Court of Abu Dhabi said the traffic and parking violation fines will be reduced by 25 per cent when these cases will be referred to them.
These discount will only be available for violations committed in the emirate of Abu Dhabi including Al Ain and Al Dhafra region.
To avail the discount, motorists will have to visit the customer happiness centre at Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters in person with documents such as Emirates ID, driving licence and car registration and then to the fines department.
Officials at the fines department will give a printout to motorists, after which they will fill out a form to transfer the violations to the traffic court.
Next day, the motorist can visit the headquarter of the Abu Dhabi Traffic and Patrols Directorate to make sure that his application has been accepted. After that motorists need to visit the traffic court at the directorate along with his or her documents to get discount in fines.
Once all paper work is completed, motorists can submit the receipt to the traffic police to clear the traffic violations.
The traffic court is open daily from 8am to 12pm.
