Dubai: Residents will soon face further traffic diversions in Sharjah’s Al Buhairah Corniche and the Al Soor area due to upcoming road works.
Sharjah Police said the partial closure of King Faisal Street in the direction towards Al Arouba Street, and urged drivers to use the alternative route.
The road diversions, which started last Saturday, is the first phase of road maintenance taking place in the district and will continue until October 30, 2018.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Sharjah also announced a Dh4 million road project that will be carried out during the next two months near the Central Souq and around Al Ittihad Park.
Eng Shaikha Al Zouwein, director of Sharjah RTA, confirmed that the maintenance work aims to improve the quality of road infrastructure and improve the quality of residents.

“The project will take two months and will include a series of works, such as the replacement and renovation of asphalt near the Central Souq, part of King Faisal Street near Al Ittihad Park, and all the sidewalks and interlocks,” said Eng Shaikha.
The project comes in line with the directives of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the instructions of Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah.
