Khartoum: A UAE relief plane carrying 30 tonnes of humanitarian aid arrived in Khartoum International Airport on Tuesday to help alleviate the suffering of people affected by the floods in Sudan.

The aid was dispatched as per the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the follow-up of Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Khalifa Bin Zayed Foundation.

The distribution of the relief will be overseen by KBZF, targeting thousands of families that have been affected by floods that hit Khartoum and different parts of the country.

The relief aid includes blankets, tents, sanitation products and pesticides to help the victims cope with their current living situation.
