Dubai: The UAE Presidential Palace has prepared to receive Chinese President Xi Jinping, who start his first state visit on Thursday. 

An exclusive online video broadcast by CGTN, the English-language news channel run by Chinese state broadcaster China Central Television, shows how the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi geared up to receive President Xi. 

Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to arrive in the UAE on Thursday on a three-day state visit, the first to a foreign country since he was re-elected.

The Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi is one of the main landmarks in the UAE, and is used to house the offices of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE, in addition to Cabinet Ministers. 

The Presidential Palace serves an important role as the primary governmental facility for receiving visiting dignitaries, and is located adjacent to the Emirates Palace Hotel.

Covering an area of approximately 150 hectares, it exceeds over 160,000 square meters of built area that contains several VIP wings, a Ministers wing, and several Majlis and dining halls. The common areas of the palace utilises an additional 5,614 square meters, and includes a main entrance hall, main hall, fountain courtyard, media Hall and a press center.

The supplementary buildings, which incorporate over 23,000 square meters, includes a public majlis, mosque, staff and military accommodations, a services compound and various gatehouses and watchtowers.
