Abu Dhabi: Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal government begins on Thursday, 29th day of Ramadan, June 14, and lasts until the 3rd of Shawwal, according the official news agency WAM.

How many days will federal workers get off?

Thursday, June 14, is the 29th day of Ramadan, which is a definite holiday for government employees. If Eid falls on Friday, first of Shawwal, Eid holidays for the public sector would be from Thursday to Sunday (third day of Shawwal) or four days off. 

However, if Eid falls on Saturday, first of Shawwal, then the holidays would be from Thursday to Monday (third day of Shawwal) making it a five-day weekend for the public sector.
