Dubai: A woman walked into a police station where she complained that she had been kidnapped and raped before further interrogations revealed that she had had paid sex with two workers.

The 21-year-old Pakistani female visitor went and complained at the police station that the two workers, a 36-year-old Indian and a 24-year-old Pakistani man, had kidnapped her and raped her in April.

When the police accompanied the woman to the location from where she was alleged to have been kidnapped, according to records, footage from the CCTV cameras fixed around the location showed that she had got into the workers’ car on her own.

The Pakistani woman was taken to the police station for further interrogation during which she admitted that she had agreed to have paid sex with the two men.

She said that after she had sex with each man separately in the back seat of the car, the two men stole her mobile phone and Dh600 and then pushed her out of the car and drove away.

The men were identified from the car plate number and police apprehended them in front of a petrol station when they were talking to a woman.

Prosecutors accused the two men of stealing the woman’s mobile phone and Dh600.

When the duo appeared before the Dubai Court of First Instance, they pleaded not guilty and refuted the accusation of robbing the woman.

Prosecutors also accused the Pakistani woman of falsely claiming that she had been kidnapped and raped and also accused her of having consensual sex with the two men.

All three were also accused of having consensual sex and referred to the Dubai Misdemeanours Court.

The Misdemeanours Court jailed the woman and the two men to one year in jail each followed by deportation. The three defendants have appealed the primary judgement of the Misdemeanours Court and will soon appear before the Appeal Court.

In her capacity as a victim, the woman defendant testified to prosecutors that the two suspects robbed her.

A police sergeant testified to prosecutors that on-site investigations exposed that the woman had lied about being kidnapped and raped.

“She was taken into custody. We apprehended the two male suspects after we identified them from the car plate number,” he claimed to prosecutors.

The trial before the First Instance Court continues.
