Dubai: A masseuse has been accused of striping and inciting an inspector to indulge in sexual activity with her during a random inspection visit at a spa.

An Economic Department inspector was said to have visited a spa at a hotel on a random inspection visit to ensure that there were no indecent or immoral activities happening there in September.

Posing as an ordinary client, the man paid Dh500 for a Moroccan bath and a massage to an Egyptian woman manager, according to records, who had welcomed him once he entered.

As part of his job, the inspector did not disclose his identity and walked in with an Algerian masseuse for a massage first and then he moved to the sauna room for the Moroccan bath.

Records said while the masseuse was showering the inspector, she removed her dress and encouraged him to indulge in a form of sexual activity for Dh500.

The inspector instantly stopped her and walked out to the spa’s reception where he present his work ID and informed the Egyptian manager to what he had been reportedly exposed to.

The inspector asked the Egyptian to show the spa’s trade license and papers but the latter informed him that they worked under the management of the hotel that would have the required licenses and permits.

The Egyptian woman was believed to have gotten angry and insulted the inspector once he demanded her to give him back the Dh500 he had paid upon entry.

The inspector then headed to the hotel’s lobby to inform the management about what had happened when the Egyptian followed him offended him verbally. Police were summoned to the hotel and the Egyptian and Algerian woman were taken into custody.

Prosecutors accused the Egyptian manager of cursing and insulting a government employee while doing his job. The Algerian masseuse was accused of inciting the inspector to commit a sin by getting naked and encouraging him to indulge in a sexual activity.

The two suspects pleaded not guilty when they appeared before the Dubai Misdemeanours Court and refuted their accusations.

The inspector claimed in his police statement that he had been instructed by work to make an unannounced inspection visit to that particular spa.

“I walked into the spa at 10pm and paid Dh500 to the Egyptian suspect for a Moroccan bath and massage. The Algerian masseuse started dancing and singing … then she removed her clothes and removed mine as well and lured me to do something. I refused immediately and left the sauna room … then I reported the matter and the Egyptian suspect insulted and cursed me,” he was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile the masseuse told police interrogators that the inspector was the one who harassed her and touched her private parts in an attempt to lure her to involve in a sexual activity.

“He touched me and removed my shirt … but when I stopped him, he offered to pay me Dh500 to strip. I rejected and went out to the Egyptian suspect and told her what had happened. I did not touch him and he is the one who harassed and groped me,” she was cited as saying.

The trial continues.
