Lieutenant-General Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday paid an inspection visit to the UAE Armed Forces units participating in the operation to liberate Hodeida in Yemen. Accompanied by a group of senior army officers, Lt-Gen Al Rumaithi inspected the sites of the troops and command centres of operation, where he was briefed on the progress of the battle to liberate the governorate. Hodeida: Lieutenant-General Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, on Saturday paid an inspection visit to the UAE Armed Forces units participating in the operation to liberate Hodeida.

Accompanied by a group of senior army officers, Lt-Gen Al Rumaithi inspected the sites of the troops and command centres of operation, where he was briefed on the progress of the battle to liberate the governorate.

He conveyed the regards and greetings of the UAE leadership to the troops and appreciation for their role in supporting the Yemeni people.

He praised the high morale of the troops and their steady determination in defending the rights of the oppressed, no matter what sacrifices and efforts were needed. He said the troops pledged to the leadership that they would stay the course of dignity and glory, with courage and steadfastness on the battlefield.
