Students of Indian High School in Dubai achieved top scores in Science and Commerce, while two girls of Our Own English High School, again in Dubai topped in Humanities in the All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations for Grade 12.

In second place are the Sharjah Indian School, in Science, and Our Own English High School, in Commerce. Speaking to Gulf News, G.S Madhav Rao, Secretary of the Gulf Council said all schools in the UAE had produced excellent results. An average pass percentage of 95 and above had been achieved by most schools.

The following is the breakdown of the results:

* INDIAN HIGH SCHOOL, DUBAI
Toppers:
Nipin Prabhakaran (Science, 94%)
Claudia Vaz (Commerce, 93.6%)
Both are highest recorded in the entire UAE.
Achu J. Alexander (Arts, 81.4%)
About 91.2 per cent of the total 405 students are in the first division. 94.9 per cent Science group students, 89.2 per cent of Commerce students and 76.5 per cent of Arts students got first class.

* OUR OWN ENGLISH HIGH SCHOOL, DUBAI

The school secured 100 per cent pass. A total of 345 students appeared. About 97 per cent of girls and 89 per cent of boys secured first division. Mansi N. Thakkar topped the girls in Science with 91.4 per cent while Satinder Pal Singh and Rakesh Kamdev topped Commerce among boys with 81.8 per cent.

* OUR OWN ENGLISH HIGH SCHOOL, SHARJAH

Of the 65 students who appeared in the Science stream, 88 per cent passed with first division with 34 per cent distinction. Out of 76 who appeared in the Commerce stream, 96 per cent passed in first division with 43 per cent scoring distinction. Gayatri is followed by Dharmesh Kumar Chavda with 86.4 per cent and Shruti Jayachandran with 84 per cent. In Commerce, Kunal is followed by Mahima Singh with 86. 4 per cent and Nupur Gourisaria with 85.4 per cent. The school recorded hundred per cent pass.

* OUR OWN ENGLISH HIGH SCHOOL, FUJAIRAH

Sanu Marina Koshy stood first among girls in the Science stream with 82.6 per cent. Rachael Nisha Mazarello with 78 per cent aggregate finished second in the Commerce stream. Reni Philip and Madhura Gandhi secured 82 per cent.

Sixty nine students appeared for the exams. The school scored an overall 100 per cent pass. Ten students got distinction while 31 scored first division. Reenu is followed by Tabasum Munir with 81.60 per cent. Third is Jannathul Firdouse with 75.2 per cent. Kiranjit is followed by Rashmi Joshi with 83 per cent and Oshna Panjawani with 79.60 per cent.

* EMIRATES ENGLISH SPEAKING SCHOOL, DUBAI

Sixty three students appeared for grade 12 exams this year. Pradeep is followed by Huzaifa Zulfikar Ali with 75 per cent, in the boys section. The topper in the girls section is Harriet Francesca Gomes with 80.8 per cent and Karuna Vijay Malkani secured the second place with 78 per cent. Dinesh is followed by Karkala Santosh Pai with 73.4 per cent. Jeny Meryl Mathew bagged the first place in the girl section with 71.4 per cent and Roxane Joanne Fernandes got the second place with 70 per cent.

* NEW INDIAN MODEL SCHOOL, DUBAI

In the Science stream nine students secured 75 per cent (Distinction) and above. Ten of them got 60 per cent and above (First Division) marks. In Science, second position was shared by Ansu Ajin Jacob and Nimeena Keloth Poyil securing 403 (80.6 per cent) marks each. Nadia Fazal stood third in the school with 401 (80.2 per cent) marks. In Commerce, 50 students sat for the examinations. Lukman Vali Ismail Mohamed took second position with 399 marks (79.8per cent). Khadija Husaine stood third with 394 (78.8 per cent) marks.

* CENTRAL SCHOOL, DUBAI

Thirty seven students appeared for the examinations out of which 20 students secured first class.
The Commerce Stream of the girls section achieved cent percent results with the girls securing high grades in accountancy and Business subjects. V. Jaswanthi got second position with 77 per cent with four A-grades. Harinder Kaur was placed third. In Science stream Rupinder was followed by Syeda Asra and Fathima Yasmin.
In the Boys section Hamid Iqbal was the topper in the Science Stream followed by Selvaraj Anbu in the second position and Gurbax Singh in the third position. In the Commerce Stream Mohammed Sheriff achieved the first position followed by Sultan Arif in the second position and Gifson Mathew in the third position.

* INDIAN PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL, RAS AL KHAIMAH

Sajeda Begum (Science, 83.4%)
Alexis was followed by Jarnail Singh with 84.2 per cent and Sany Annie Sunney got the third rank with 83 per cent. The school's fourth batch of Commerce Stream has registered cent per cent result. Sajeda was followed by Abin Abraham Ninan with 78.6 per cent and Righu Prabhakar with 75.8 per cent.

* SHARJAH INDIAN SCHOOL

Divya is closely followed by Neha Malhotra with 92.2 in the second place and Belsymol Cletus with 90.8 marks in the third position. In the boys section Abhishek Ashok with 84.2 per cent stands first, Neil Gregory Vaz with 84 per cent stands second and Saurin B Shah with 83.2 per cent stands third. In Commerce, Dagny is followed by Nisha Juvanum Fernandes with 84.2 per cent in the second place and Jinu Abraham with 83.2 per cent in the third position. In the boys Commerce, Chirag Bhandari with 82.4 stands first, Sidharth Ramakrishna and Murtaza Shafa-kkat Hussain with 81.8 gets the second place and Jiger R. Sagar with 80.8 takes the third place.
