Victim sustains knife wound to stomach
Dubai: A salesman has been charged with attempted murder by stabbing a clerk, who advised him to stop fighting with a group of workers.
Prosecutors accused the 24-year-old Indian salesman, S.A., of intentionally trying to kill the 37-year-old Bangladeshi clerk, A.Z., by stabbing him with a knife in his stomach.
Jail wardens did not bring the suspect from his detention and present him before the Dubai Court of First Instance where he was scheduled to be tried yesterday.
According to the accusation sheet, prosecutors said S.A. had the intention to kill A.Z. and stabbed him in his stomach. Swift medical intervention helped save A.Z.'s life after his colleagues and friends rushed him to hospital.
